Unexplained Happenings In Kwethluk

Last night around 12:27 A.M. the Akiuk High School Girls team went to bed, except for the ones who couldn't sleep. That night, I tried going to bed, but the room was too hot, so I just laid in my sleeping bag. I got up between 1:30 and 2:00 in the morning, wanting to use the bathroom, so I stood up and was about to head out, and I looked over to the corner and saw that Minnie and Marie awake. I walked toward them and sat down, and then I asked them if they wanted to fallow me to the bathroom, and they said yeah. We were about to stand up when the door cracked open, and we saw that a man or a teenage boy peeking. We got so scared and ended up staying, and I really needed to use the bathroom. Not long after, Jacquie woke up and explained that she heard someone running, in her sleep, and trying to pull her sleeping bag. And we said that we heard and saw someone in the building. And right then, we started thinking there was a phantom in the building. Through out the night, we've been hearing and seeing some dude cracking the door open and peeking into our room. Deana Berlin woke up a while after, and we explained to her what had happened, and Minnie and Marie were by the door, listening to whoever was out in the hallway. Couple minutes passed, and we all decided to check out into the lobby. It seemed like there was no one in the building, and one of the girls decided to check the front door, which appeared to be unlocked. We all got so scared, and I started shaking. Minnie decided to check to see if the door was really unlocked, so she went out and shut the door as much as it could, and right then she opened it. We got so scared and walked to the room as fast as we could, and stayed in there. We weren't even thinking to wake up Deanna, or Esai. Which was really stupid. We were so tired, and we couldn't sleep, so we ended up staying awake. 10 or 15 minutes before six, we heard someone walking into Napaskiak Girls' room, and out the back door, and there, we saw a man or a teenage boy looking at us... he wore dark clothes, and we could not recognize him. I asked Minnie who he was, and she said she couldn't see. That person walked toward the emergency exit door, and when he opened it, he looked back at us and smiled and exit out the door. Either Jacquie or one of the girls that were awake yelled "Wake up!" and everyone woke up, and we explained that there was a man who left out the door. Seemed like Deanna couldn't believe us, so she went to go ask the lady who was watching the Napaskiak Girls. She came back not long after and said that they didn't see or hear anyone going into their room, and told us to go to bed. Marie and I couldn't go to bed, and decided to go work on our homework out in the hallway. Throughout the day, the girls who were awake that night were so tired and cranky, but for some of the girls, they were hyper and tired, just like me. We had a crazy night that day, an unforgettable night!

Something That Bothered Me This Week

Something that bothered me this week was my brothers, because they're always fighting everyday. Everyday after school I go home to loudness, never quiet. We can never get a chance of quietness, when the boys are in the house, which is really annoying. When I went home from school, I came in, and my brothers ran into the room, and one of them were chasing, yelling. I tried telling them to be quiet, but they would never listen. So I just left them alone, and fight.
Whenever one of them fight, one of them has to join them, including my sister. And one of my parents would stop them.
When they all left the house, the house got really quiet and peaceful. One time, I was out of Kasigluk for 2 weeks, and it was nice to be out for like 4 days. I missed being at home, and one of the weirdest things was that I missed the loudness that came from my brothers and my sister, and also the yelling from my parents, telling my brothers to stop fighting. Even if my brothers are loud and annoying most times, I still love them. :] I have to go now!

This Weekend...

This weekend was exciting! Our ballgames were FUN! We won our games against Kwethluk Lady Kings. I had a eird feeling when we were going to begin the games. And I thought that we were going to lose. It started off easy, but as we went through our the 4 quarters, the game got even challenging. I was shaking, and nervous at the same time, when I went down to the court to sub for Jacquie. First quarter, i got hurt, on my knee, because I bumped in to some girl and fell down and scraped my knee. It was funny. I just got up and rubbed it.. and started playing the game. Second time i got hurt, it was my thumb. When I jumped up and tried taking the ball, my thumb got jammed. But I didnt worry about it much. But later on as we kept playing, my thumb started trobbing, and it bothered me. As we got to the third quarter, we were behind by 2, and we pressured the opposing team. As i was running down the court, i passed the ball to Nicole, and she passed it back to me when i got to the center, and I went for a shot, I thought I was going to miss it but I actually made it. When it got to the fourth quarter, Danny made me sit down, because I was getting tired. So he let Deana go in and play... I didnt really pay attention to our games after i went out, because I had that crazy feeling in me that we werent going to win our game. But when i heard the buzzer go off, I looked at the score board, and we were ahead by 5. Whew. Crazy. Wow. We actually won them, first time? Haha. On our second game against them we were just playing around, and we made them win by 15.. at first, our score was 5 to 25, but after the second half, jacquie made a lay-up and most of the girls started scoring. Gotta go!

THINK THINK THINK THINK!!

I HATE THINKING OF WHAT TO WRITE ABOUT! thinking gives me headaches:-] just makes me want to kill my brains! SO THAT IT CAN STOP THINKING!! What's there to write about?
Hmm... right now I'm being a slacker, don't really want to work on this thing. SINCE I WAS WORKING ON IT LAST YEAR! :P It's alright though, its not as exciting as uh.. whatever you think is exciting, besides working:P But I'm starting to get used to it, since we can write about what ever we want, unless they give us a choice. Sometimes the choices are hard to write about, and it takes up a lot of time to think about just one subject. Do you ever think about going to college? ( For the students who are still in school) Well i do.... but I'm not going to make it if I'm going to be a slacker all the times that we are suppose to be working on something. Most times when i don't feel like working i just sit there and think to my self " Should i be working? If i don't work, what will happen?" And when i work, the time just passes by so fast, Its like, i been in the school for like a minute, and if I don't, its like I been in the school for years in just a day! Isn't it good to learn? Some kids have a hard time learning maybe because they are sitting next to someone they will talk to, or having a hard time paying attention, or maybe just slacking off. So its not good to be a slacker!:D ya heard?

Friday's Game

Friday, Jan. 16th, all high school basketball players were suppose to go to Kweth. But the weather that day was bad, well not really, it was just freezing rain. The planes weren't flying that day, because the weather in Bethel was ugly, couple minutes after we heard that the planes were cancelled the coach of HS boys and girls figured out what to do for the ball players. Around 1 something they announced that we were going to be playing in Akula, and told us to be ready around 6. Hours passed, we were here watching the JR high playing against Nunap. After that we went to go get ready to go Akula, and when we got there, the hs girls had to get ready to play. When our games started, the Akula crowd started to get loud, and there weren't many people for Akiuk cheering:-]. When Danny made me go in to the game i started shaking, and I was nervous at the same time, but our games turned out to be great. The first quarter when we were playing, most of us girls were just sort of being lazy, but as time passed we improved. There was a few problems though. Renae started to make more fouls, and most of the girls started getting scrapes on their knees, or even bruises. During our half time, we were behind about 10 points, when we went to our room for a meeting, we prayed "Our Father". And when we went back out to play more, our points increased so much, and it felt good to be ahead. While we were playing the Akula girls pressed us more, and we had to work hard to make those baskets. When the time was to 10 seconds i got the ball and ran to make a basket, and i made it, but i was too late to throw it before the buzz went on, but it was a close one. It didn't really matter to me:-]. Anyways, we won the game, it was a close game, and we really needed to take showers, sweat going down our face, YARR!... :-)

My Parents........ Pretty???

Since i can't think of what to write right now, I guess I'm going to write about, my father... Wilson Berlin.... Couple days before Halloween started... my father was thinking about putting on my sister's (Vanessa) blond wig, and he didn't, DIDN'T look like my father. He looked like my aunt... I looked at him and started laughing, and decided to take a picture of him, my brother Yeako came in, he fell down and started laughing... after looking at our father. My father may sometimes act silly at times by making others laugh and making a lot of jokes. He even does that ABC song by burping.. my dad is silly!

My mom loves putting on make up sometimes, when she does, she looks like a young teenager to me... but to others... they say shes uh.. i dont know:D But my mother, the same day when my father put on that wig, my mother ran to the mirror and started to put some dark black eyeshadow on herself, (i think she might have found my make ups in my room.) when i looked at her I started laughing, and was wondering why they both were doing such a silly thing that day. After taking some pictures of them, I asked them why they did that, and they said that we were looking too unhappy that day, and they felt like doing such silly thing like that. My mother loves to make others laugh, and she loves making funny jokes.... :D you see??
hehe..
